Q: Why can't I upload my picture?
A: This is normally because your picture file is not a .jpg type picture format. Only that kind of file can be uploaded. You will need to change your file type first. This can be done in most picture editing programs. Simply open your picture in your editing software and then re-save it as a jpg.
Q: How do I tell other people how to find my profile?
A: Your profile address is http://www.cyprus-dating.net/*NICK* (where *NICK* is your own nickname).
PLEASE NOTE: We have noticed some of our members using away messages on IRC programs pointing to their Cyprus Dating address. While we naturally encourage this, automatic advertising of web addresses is not welcome on the irc networks and we would ask you to use the script you can find here to run such an away message. It allows people to see your web address as an away message, but they must first type a word ("go") to access it. We think this constitutes a reasonable comprimise and hope it meets with the approval of the operators on the iRC networks.
Q: How can I find people from my location?
A: You must use the advanced search in order to find people from your location. This can be found on the front page of the site. Use the drop-down menu's to choose the location you want to search through and even a city in a country that you chose.
Q: How can I add a new page to my profile?
A: First you must be at your login home page. Then click "my web page" button on the left hand side of your profile home page. Then you will see another page with an !add page" button on it. Click this to start adding your new page to your profile. If you have already made a page two more buttons will appear as well, "edit" and "delete". They do just what they say. Enjoy..
Q: Why can't I send a message to someone?
A: You must have at least one picture uploaded onto your profile in order to send messages to other members.
Q: How can I change my password?
A: On the left hand side of your profile home page is the options button. Click on that and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. There you will see the change password box. Enter and confirm your new password to change to your password.
Q: How can I change my details?
A: on the left-hand side of your login home page you will see the "About me", button. Click on this to change your details, age location etc..
Q: Can I stop people sending messages to me?
A: Yes you can stop people from sending messages to you. Next to all the messages you receive, you will see four buttons, "View", "Message", "Delete", and "Block". The Block button will prevent you from receiving any more messages from this person.
Q: Will it cost me any money to use this site?
A: No!! .. Cyprus Dating is a Free!! Service and will stay a free service as long as we control this site.. All function and contact are free to use there are no hidden charges or credit card numbers needed. This is free like things were before the net changes what that used to mean.
Q: How can I contact the Cyprus Dating team?
A: First you must be at your login home page. At the bottom of this page you will see the "Tell us what you think", button. Click this and send us a message to contact the profile team. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
Q: Do I need to sing-up to the site to get into the chat group?
A: No you do not need to sign-up to the site to enter the chat area. You will be given a guest name automatically. However other members and guests will not be able to view your profile. This means that people will not talk to you very much. This site is all about profiles information and pictures. If you don?t have a picture and a profile not many people will chat to you.
Q: I have had my profile deleted why?
A: Remember that ALL profiles and pictures are cleared first by the profile team. No offensive material or adult content is allowed. Anyone breaking these rules will have there profile removed. An e-mail will be sent to you telling you that this has happened. Be warned!! .. If you do it again you will receive a lifetime ban..
Q: I keep getting my pictures removed from the site why?
A: Cyprus Dating has a strict no adult content policy. Any picture that we feel is of that nature will be deleted. Also your main picture must be a picture of you! Again if it is not a picture that has your face on it, then it will be deleted. You will receive an e-mail telling you this has happened.
Q: How can I log into the Cyprus Dating chat room?
A: There are two ways into the chat room. First you can log-in without being a member of Cyprus Dating. Click on the chat link on the main page. This will give you a guest nick-name, but people will not be able to find your profile in the room. Second you can sign-up log-in and click the chat button on your login home page. This will put you into the Cyprus Dating chat group with your own nick-name and people can view your profile in the chat room by clicking on your name.
